CARLY PARKER
SPIRIT OF THE NUTCRACKER AWARD

This award exemplifies a dancer who truly has shown the "spirit" of The Nutcracker. The award winner is a dancer who accepted all roles given with grace and attended all rehearsals. The recipient is a dancer who leads by example in class, in rehearsals, and in all aspects of the production in which he/she is involved.  The recipient is always on time and dressed appropriately and works hard without complaint.  This dancer does not talk in a negative manner about anyone or any other dancer involved with The Nutcracker and always has a positive attitude.

In 2017, the award was renamed in memory of East Alabama Community Ballet dancer, Carly Parker.
